Cuesheet v0.15.11
Crash reports now say which build they came from. Run Mode and the editor stay readable at the largest accessibility text size. Two accents, not seven. After four weeks of classes, Cuesheet asks once for a rating. Crash reports no longer include search terms. Settings → About: a switch to stop sharing diagnostics and crash reports. Share diagnostics, off: what was already cached is cleared, not just stopped. The Share diagnostics switch can be tapped anywhere on its row.
New & improved
- Crash reports now say which build they came from. Every crash or error this app reports is tagged with its exact version and build number, and the ship now uploads the matching debug symbols before a build reaches you — so a report points at a line of code instead of a hexadecimal address. Three weeks of reports could do neither.
- Run Mode and the editor stay readable at the largest accessibility text size. At the biggest "Larger Text" setting the Static run-mode table used to break "DURATION" into "DURA/TION" and "BASE" into "BAS/E", all five transport labels collapsed to an ellipsis, the block list clipped with nothing to scroll, the editor's timeline drew its clock on top of the cue pills, and the Cuesheets list wrapped "segments" mid-word to "segment/s" (the separate "1 segments" grammar bug is cuesheet-fyiz's). Every one of those rows now reflows instead: it stacks, abbreviates to a word that fits, or drops a label the icon already carries (VoiceOver still speaks the full one). Each dense screen now has a committed reference image at that text size, and a new screen cannot ship without one.
- After four weeks of classes, Cuesheet asks once for a rating. Teach a class in each of four consecutive weeks and, right after the fourth one wraps up, the App Store rating prompt appears — once, ever, never mid-class. No new screen; it's the standard system prompt.
- Settings → About: a switch to stop sharing diagnostics and crash reports. Cuesheet still sends anonymous usage signals and crash reports by default, and now you can turn both off in one place. Off means off immediately — nothing is sent and nothing is saved up to send later — and it stays off the next time you open the app.
- Share diagnostics, off: what was already cached is cleared, not just stopped. Turning the switch off has always stopped every new usage signal and crash report immediately. It now also clears what the crash-reporting SDK had cached on your device at that moment, so turning sharing back on later can't resend it. The usage-analytics SDK has no equivalent "stop" of its own; anything it had already queued before you turned the switch off can still finish sending — usually within a few seconds — which the in-app wording now says plainly instead of promising more than the code guarantees. (cuesheet-xpbvr, Fable review of PR #68)
- The Share diagnostics switch can be tapped anywhere on its row. The switch in Settings → About used to answer only to a tap on the switch itself, a 28pt-tall strip that is under Apple's minimum for anything you are meant to hit. The whole row is now the target, at the full 44pt: tap the words "Share diagnostics" and the switch flips. Nothing moved — the row looks exactly as it did.
Fixed
- Test runs no longer report as real users. The app's crash reporting stays switched off in the simulator, under the test suites, and under the monkey soak. Two "fatal app hang" alerts that looked like a customer in trouble were the ship gate testing itself.
- Two accents, not seven. Toggles and the Settings run-view picker tint cyan instead of coral, so coral means one thing again — the screen's one primary action. Chrome affordances (the ⋯ overflow menu) are neutral instead of borrowing an accent, a track's BPM badge uses the flow colour instead of the RPM cue colour, and a segment's kind colour no longer leaks onto an interactive button.
- Crash reports no longer include search terms. A failed request to Apple Music's catalogue could previously carry the request's full web address — including whatever you typed into search — into a crash report. Crash reports now never include that address at all.
